Horse Shit and How You Earn It

Horse shit is the base of the building economy. Every brick is three of it, and every stable, shop, kiln and room in the world is bricks.

It is also the one material in the game you cannot gather. There were shit nodes in the Mire, the Foal Pen and the Dead Forest until 15 August 2026, and they are gone. No node anywhere gives it now.

There are exactly two sources left, and both of them belong to you rather than to the ground.

1. Your stable, around the clock

A built stable produces horse shit on its own, all day and all night, whether you are logged in or not. You do not have to be standing there and you do not have to be online.

Stable Per hour Banks up to
Level 1 5 240
Level 2 8 240

Production banks up to 240 units and then stops until you collect. A level 1 stable fills its bank in about 48 hours, a level 2 in 30. Come and collect before it fills or you are leaving output on the ground. Collecting happens by itself while you stand at your own plot, and the stable panel shows the rate and the bank.

One thing stops it: an empty upkeep meter. A stable below 30% makes nothing at all, and the stretch it spent starved is not paid out as a backlog when you fix it. See Stable Upkeep.

2. The activity bar, for playing

The other source is the bar in the corner of your screen that fills as you play. Move, gather, fight and talk to people, and when the bar completes it pays you horse shit on the spot. No stable needed, no land needed.

A completed bar pays 2 as a human on foot and up to 8 as a mounted horse, and one wallet may earn 20 a day that way. The whole thing has a page of its own.

For a player with no land, this is the entire supply. It is also deliberately slow: 20 a day is about seven bricks, which is why most builders buy their shit on the Exchange from the people who earn it and do not need it.

Neither one spends your gathering allowance

Your daily gathering allowance, 150 plus 50 per level, is spent by pulling nodes and picking up loot. Stable production and activity payouts spend none of it. Your stable can run all night and your allowance is untouched in the morning.

Passive income should never cost you your active day.

The world still holds a ceiling

Renewable does not mean unlimited. The world can hold at most 35,000 horse shit at once, and both stables and the bar read that same headroom. When the world is full, production waits rather than inventing supply. That is a fact about the world rather than about you, and the limits window says so in those words.

The other half of the loop is destruction, and shit has more sinks than anything else in the world:

  • Bricks. 3 a brick, and bricks build every stable, room, kiln and shop, then feed every stable's daily upkeep forever.
  • Armour fusing. 8 to 20 a fuse, burned as the kiln's fuel.
  • The throw. A horse soul throws shit, and every cast shatters one.
  • The flinger charm, 4 a craft, and a storage chest upgrade, 8.

Every unit destroyed is a unit the stables and the bar are allowed to make again.
