Cosmetics and the Sticky Situations Shop
Some of what you wear changes nothing about how you play. It just makes you look unmistakably like you. Here is the full catalog: what drops, how rare it is, and what it costs at the shop that trades it, Sticky Situations.
If it was not in character creation, someone found it
When you make your soul you pick a small, free wardrobe: a couple of coats, a few manes, your hair, skin and boots. Every other look in the world, 33 of them, is a chase item. Nobody hands you one and no vendor stocks it new. It drops, from a kill or a shipwreck chest out on the Shore, and lands in your trough as a real, tradeable item. Equip it from your Build panel, the wardrobe screen where you also put on gear, and it becomes a permanent part of your look for good. Leave it in the trough and it stays something you can sell or trade, duplicates included.
Three rarities
Every dropped look carries a rarity, and the color is the same wherever you see it in the world:
8 coats, 5 manes, 6 saddle colors and 14 hairstyles make the 33, split 7 uncommon, 17 rare and 9 legendary.
Who can wear what
A coat, mane, saddle or boots is a horse-soul look, and a human soul can only window shop it. Hair is a human-soul look, and a horse soul cannot wear it. Skin (4 shades) is creation only, and so are the two plain boots finishes: nobody has ever found one. The exception is a trio of flashy trail boots sold only at the shop, covered below. A saddle color additionally needs the saddle itself, the riding key you craft at the workshop, before it goes on. No saddle, no saddle color.
Crafting your first saddle grants you the plain gold saddle look, and only that one. The six coloured saddles are chase items like every other look: they drop, and they re-skin a saddle you already own.
How a drop happens
An ordinary kill in the wild rolls three independent chances, checked legendary first so a lucky roll never doubles up: 0.008% legendary, 0.04% rare, 0.15% uncommon. The roll only ever draws looks your soul can wear, so nothing you find is wasted. Some animals pay more: wolves and stags pay double all three, the Dead Forest's Dark Wolf pays triple, and the White Wolf pays six times, about one cosmetic per 84 kills. A shipwreck chest on the Shore has a 10% chance to roll a drop at all.
Lil Knacker is the other source. He rolls a look for each participant rather than for whoever landed the killing blow, on 1 kill in 10. That is one more reason to walk up Knacker's Pass in a group. The glue blob and the glue golem, which carry richer guarantees still, are not in the live world.
Split across the looks that share a tier, the odds per specific look on an ordinary kill:
| Tier | Chance per kill | Per specific horse look | Per specific hairstyle |
|---|---|---|---|
| Uncommon | 0.15% | 0.0375% | 0.05% |
| Rare | 0.04% | 0.0044% | 0.005% |
| Legendary | 0.008% | 0.0013% | 0.0027% |
Sticky Situations
Sticky Situations is the shop in Glueburg that trades every one of these looks. It shares its order book with the Gloo Exchange, but a look never lists there, only at the shop door.
The house shelf carries every look, priced by tier, and stock never refills:
| Tier | House stock, per look | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Uncommon | 12 | 430,000 gloo (about $5) |
| Rare | 5 | 2,150,000 gloo (about $25) |
| Legendary | 2 | 8,600,000 gloo (about $100) |
Sold out is forever. Once a look's slots sell, drops are the only way another copy ever enters the world. Every house sale pays the town treasury in full. Every player to player resale pays the treasury a 5% cut and prints on the tape like a real trade, up to a 10,000,000 gloo price ceiling.
Two small things worth knowing before you list. Your cosmetic listings come out of the same 24 open orders you get on the Exchange, so a wall of listings costs you trading slots. And when a listing and the house both have a look at the same price, the buyer's gloo goes to the player, not the house.
The shop is open: buy from the house shelf while it lasts, list looks you own, and resell player to player at the tape price. Wearing a look you own makes it a permanent part of your soul, for good.
Shop only: the boots and the shades
Five looks never drop at all. The shop stocks them as one time runs, sold out forever, drops never make more.
| Look | Rarity | Price | Shop stock | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Big Smoke boots | Uncommon | ₲430,000 | 21 | a heavy smoke running trail |
| Blood boots | Rare | ₲2,150,000 | 12 | blood dirt hoofprints |
| Fire boots | Legendary | ₲8,600,000 | 5 | a lingering flame trail |
| Sunglasses | Rare | ₲2,150,000 | 5 | +5 stamina, worn on the face |
| Mog Sunglasses | Legendary | ₲8,600,000 | 2 | +3% move speed, viper lenses |
The boots are horse looks. The shades fit both souls, and the face is exclusive: one face accessory at a time, and a skimask hides your hair while it is on.
The skimasks, claimed not bought
Eight skimask colourways, bone through violet, belong to holders of the Noctavia Core collection. Claim them at Sticky Situations in town, not out on the strip: a verified holder claims up to 3, one colour each, forever per wallet. They never drop, never sit on a shelf, and each carries the balaclava's +3% move speed. The plain black balaclava itself is the dev badge and cannot be claimed at all.
