# Fish paint

Inside your stable, open the **home icon → Stable interior → Paint**. It shows your paint stock and current wall and floor finishes.

Choose a fish and mix it with **1 Sap + 1 Water**. This **consumes the selected specimen permanently**. Its species determines the colour, and its length determines yield: **one paint per 10 cm, rounded up**, minimum one. A 25 cm fish makes three paint. The Gilded Sovereign cannot become paint.

Select a colour, then apply it to **walls or floor**. Floor cost is one paint per 4 floor tiles, rounded up; wall cost is one per 3 tiles of perimeter, rounded up. The menu quotes your room's exact cost. Paint tints the existing material rather than replacing its texture. Applying another finish spends paint again; it is not an infinite reusable skin.

Paint stock is managed through the interior menu. It is not an ordinary bottle item to search for on the Exchange.
